The latest addition to the airwaves of Greater Manchester, 106.1 Rock Radio is the areas first classic rock music radio station.

Rock Radio is a station specifically targeted at listeners who want to hear rock music from artists - often some of the biggest names in the music industry - generally not heard on other mainstream radio stations.

As part of the Guardian Media Group, Rock Radio has an impressive pedigree behind it as they build on their mid-summer launch to a potential listening audience in excess of one million people in and around Greater Manchester.

Rock Radio have linked up with the Manchester Phoenix and will be sponsors of the pre-game warm-up period at each Phoenix home game with the Phoenix team wearing specially designed shirts incorporating the 106.1 Rock Radio logo. Additionally, Rock Radio will support the Manchester Phoenix with upto 30 prime-time advertisements each week through the course of the ice hockey season, September to April.
